| The Exercise Guys was founded in 1991 in Forest Lake Minnesota. We started as a small family owned retailer. By keeping our prices low, overhead down,we built our business by informing our customers and providing them with the best possible value. We spent next to nothing on advertising, and grew by word of mouth. after a few years, we moved from our meager downtown location to a larger building on the freeway. Again staying with the strategy of low overhead, we refuse to advertise much more than a yellow page ad and firehouse auction. We did however set off our building by placing equipment on the roof. Now, with several years of the right kind of growth, we have opened a second location in Woodbury. We are a lot larger now , but don't let that fool you. We are still a family business.
